BOY Meets World star Danielle Fishel got into a furious argument with a co-star on the show’s hit podcast.
Asking “do you hate me?” amid a very heated conversation – things erupted on Pod Meets World’s most recent episode as Danielle chatted to fellow former Boy Meets World star Maitland.
Boy Meets World was an American coming-of-age sitcom that aired on ABC for seven seasons between September 1993 and May 2000.
On the show, Danielle Fishel played the role of Topanga Lawrence, while Maitland Ward played Rachel McGuire.
The new episode of the podcast, which is hosted by Danielle and other former stars of the show Will Friedle and Rider Strong, was released on February 23 – and it left listeners totally stunned.
In the episode, Danielle, 43, asked 48-year-old Maitland a pressing question – which ended in a huge row that didn’t let up.
“So jumping ahead to around the time, let’s say 2022, and we start our podcast, Pod Meets World.
“Maybe a more broad general question for you is, Do you hate us?”
Maitland replied: “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me, because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that’s hurtful.”
Mailtland – who now works as a pornographic film performer – then spoke about her visit to the set and accused Danielle of ignoring her.
“You had an attitude about it,” Maitland said.
“There was some beef between us, and I didn’t get it. I didn’t know if you thought I was trying to steal attention…

“I was genuinely confused why we wouldn’t be good.”
Danielle then apologized and explained that she didn’t have an issue with her.
“Let’s put it this way, the memories we have of the fun set of Boy Meets World were not the memories of the fun set of Girl Meets World,” Danielle said.
She added: “I went into it expecting it to be, and it wasn’t.
“It was a rather tumultuous place. I felt very ostracized. I felt very criticized. I felt a lot of different things being on that set.
“I am sorry that you thought I had something personally against you.”
Maitland then responded, saying: “You didn’t like the fact that I was getting a lot of attention at that time and going off in my own space and taking away that attention.”
Elsewhere in the tense podcast episode, Danielle touched upon how Maitland spoke negatively about them whenever the podcast was in the news.
“Are you trying to accuse me of using you or are you trying to accuse me of something?” Maitland said.

BOY Meets World followed Cory Matthews and his family and friends living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The teen comedy series ran from September 24, 1993, to May 5, 2000, and has over 150 episodes throughout 7 Seasons.
Maitland later said that the podcast is negative, with Danielle hitting back in an instant, saying: “The same way you wrote about your experiences doesn’t mean that they’re negative.
“They’re just experiences. So you don’t listen to the podcast regularly, but your overall opinion of it is that we are negative about Michael and Ben and the show.”
Maitland added: “Let’s be honest about this. You’re trying to go at me now to get the ratings going because you know people will be interested. I just want to remember the good times.
“I’m not the one who wanted to go for ratings… this is what you asked for.”
Fans were quick to react to the episode on social media, with many taking to X to share their thoughts.
“That latest Pod Meets World ep gave me crazy secondhand embarrassment. I saw a clip on YouTube but the full episode was worse than I thought,” penned one.
Another then said: “this pod meets world interview with maitland is wiiild.”
“This Maitland Ward episode of Pod Meets World is so cringeworthy. I haven’t finished it but the entire back half of the episode is uncomfortable. The dramaaaaaaa,” said a third.
While a fourth declared: “new pod meets world episode is crazy.”
And a fifth said: “I haven’t listened to Pod Meets World in ages but hearing about today’s episode…wow wow wow it’s insane.”
