HOWIE Mandel has revealed that his wife suffered a scary injury while they were in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The America’s Got Talent judge said that she “hit her head” after a night out.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos took their talk show to Las Vegas for the week with pre-recorded shows and Howie, 68, was a guest on Live on Wednesday’s episode.
As soon as he sat down, Howie talked about being back in the city and how it feels like he’s constantly “having a party.”
“I went to Poppy’s last night. It was the best steak experience of my life,” Howie said.
The comedian said that when someone orders a steak, it is a celebration there.
“We celebrated. We didn’t stop celebrating,” he said.
“So much celebration that when we got back to the room, I’m going to tell you this, my wife was over celebrated.”
“When she got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she slipped and hit her head on the night stand,” he said.
“No!” Kelly, 53, shouted.
HOW IS SHE?
When the audience gasped, Howie told them that everything is fine and that it was worth it.
“Poppy’s was worth it,” Howie told them.
Kelly and Mark, 52, asked at the same time, “Is she ok?”
“She had a couple of stitches, but…” Howie said.
Kelly gasped and said, “This story has taken a terrible turn.”
Howie made light of the situation by making a joke.
“It was just like our wedding night. We went to our room and she felt pain the next day,” he joked.
“Is that ok?” Howie asked the producer about his NSFW joke.
Mark said they were in Vegas, so it was ok, but he may want to ask his wife later if she was ok.
HOWIE AND HIS WIFE
Howie has been married to Terry Mandel (nee Soil) since 1980.
Together, they have three children; Jackie, Riley, and Alex.
Howie and Terry are also grandparents.
Howie and Terry attended high school together in Canada and soon fell in love.
The comedian told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on Today that they met while waiting in line to buy French fries.
“I actually borrowed money from her. I didn’t know her, and I was short a couple of bucks for french fries and she lent me money. She was, like, 14 at the time and she lent me money. And I’ve been paying her back ever since,” Howie told the hosts.
