On Thursday’s episode of The View, the hosts got on to the topic of relationships after discussing Ben Affleck’s recent comments about his divorce from Jennifer Lopez on the cover of GQ. During the discussion, EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg, who has been divorced three times, told her co-hosts that she “just wasn’t having any fun” in any of her marriages.

The group then talked about an op-ed piece written by a woman who said that after her divorce, she had “new experiences and great sex,” leading Joy Behar to ask Goldberg if this was the case for her after her divorce.

Goldberg assured her co-hosts that wasn’t the case. “It had nothing to do with the divorce, I was just glad to get the hell out of there,” she said during their discussion. “I was always having great sex; I just wasn’t having any fun. So that’s why I don’t understand what [the op-ed author is] saying.”

The 69-year-old actress is not shy when it comes to talking about her relationships or her sex life. One of Goldberg’s most notable statements about why she’s okay with being single comes from a 2016 New York Times magazine interview where she said, “I’m much happier on my own. I can spend as much time with somebody as I want to spend, but I’m not looking to be with somebody forever or live with someone. I don’t want someone in my house.”

However, Goldberg’s feelings about marriage do not mean she has any ill will towards her exes. During an episode of The View in October, she said she still keeps in touch with all of her exes because they were her friends at one point. “It doesn’t mean that we talk all the time, but I will be respectful enough for you,” she said during the episode. “I don’t have to sleep with you, I don’t have to eat with you—I don’t have to do any of those things that a relationship forces. But I can be [friendly] because there’s nobody that I’ve lived with or messed with that I absolutely hate.”
