Whoopi Goldberg Calls Out Fox News Critics Angry Over Beyoncé’s Country Album Grammy Win
Whoopi Goldberg Defends Beyoncé After Criticism Over 2025 Grammys
Beyoncé has received a lot of criticism for winning Best Country Album at the 2025 Grammys. Many people believe that she is not a real country artist and that the award is not deserved.
However, Whoopi Goldberg has spoken out to defend Beyoncé. She believes that Beyoncé is a talented and versatile artist who can sing many different genres of music. Beyoncé’s Grammy win for Best Country Album is completely deserved.
Goldberg also believes that criticism of Beyoncé is racist. She says that Beyoncé is a woman of color and that her criticism of her for singing country music is a manifestation of racism.
In addition to Whoopi Goldberg, many other celebrities have also spoken out to defend Beyoncé, including Taylor Swift.
Whoopi Goldberg Checks Conservative Who Complained About Beyoncé’s Grammy Win
On Monday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham offered conservative author Raymond Arroyo a platform to throw what can only be described as a tantrum about Beyoncé’s latest achievements.

During his impassioned rant, Arroyo seemed unable to fathom how artists like Beyoncé could have more Grammys than other famous artists.
“Dolly Parton has 10 Grammys. Frank Sinatra had 11 Grammys. Beyoncé has 35,” Arroyo pointed out, expressing his confusion. “How is that possibly commensurate with that talent? I mean, come on.”
Then Arroyo doubled down, accusing Grammys voters of being out of touch with the music scene.
“Basically, Lady Gaga’s cat-sitter votes for best reggae and best country album,” Arroyo lamented. “So that’s why you get this ridiculous outcome that has nothing to do with the country audience or the country musicians.”

Whoopi Goldberg fired back on “The View” the next day with a healthy dose of sense — and humor.
“Are you aware that you have to be in the music industry to be a Grammy voter? So, the cat-sitter can’t just vote,” Goldberg said. She went on to remind the author that Bey has “earned” her accolades.
“Come on, man! People voted for it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t. Same with the Oscars,” Goldberg said. “Sit down!”
Sunday’s award show marked the first time Beyoncé won Album of the Year, a category that hasn’t been claimed by a Black woman since Lauryn Hill in 1999. She also became the first Black woman to win the category for Best Country Album with “Cowboy Carter.”
