Who is Carrie Preston?

Carrie Preston is an Emmy Award-winning actress, director and producer.

She was born in Macon, Georgia and studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Evansville.

She played Arlene Fowler on True Blood but is best known for her role as Elsbeth Tascioni – an eccentric and talented trial lawyer.

Her character first started out on CBS’s The Good Wife, where she was first introduced in season one.

In 2013 she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the show.

In 2014 she played recurring character Judy in the second season of The Following, starring Kevin Bacon.

She has appeared in a number of films as a supporting character, including Duplicity, where she starred alongside Meryl StreepViola Davis, Clive Owen and Julia Roberts.

She is the co-owner of Daisy 3 Pictures.

In 2016 she reprised her role as Elsbeth on The Good Wife.

Who is Carrie Preston married to?

Carrie is married to fellow actor Michael Emerson, who stars alongside her in Elsbeth as her on-screen husband.

He is best known for his roles as Benjamin Linus on Lost and Harold Finch in the CBS show Person of Interest.

The couple married in 1998 after they met during a production of Hamlet at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.

She played Ophelia and he was Guildenstern.

They have worked together multiple times, with Carrie making a guest appearance on Lost, where she played Michael’s mother in a flashback.

She also recurred as his fiancée on Person of Interest.

The couple don’t have any children.
