She is Sosie Ruth Bacon, 32.

Sosie is the daughter of actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

The star is best known for her recent film Smile, but she was first noticed as a bold character on Narcos: Mexico.

She got a taste of acting early in life when she played 10-year-old Emily in her father’s film Loverboy (2005).

The New York native was also in her mother’s show The Closer (2009).

In 2013, Bacon was crowned Miss Golden Globe 2014.

Then came bigger films.

Bacon appeared in the films Wishin’ and Hopin’ (2014), Ana Maria in Novela Land (2015), Charlie Says (2018), The Last Summer (2019), and Wyrm (2019).

Sosie was also in the television series Scream (2016), Story of a Girl (2017), 13 Reasons Why (2017–2018).

Then came Narcos: Mexico (2020).

Bacon studied at Brown University and has studied at musical theatre company CAP21.

Her brother, Travis Bacon, is a musician.

She is a descendant of William Ellery, a signatory of the Declaration of Independence, and Ellery Sedgwick, an editor of The Atlantic Monthly.

 She is the sister of actor Robert Sedgwick, the half-sister of jazz guitarist Mike Stern, the first cousin once removed of actress Edie Sedgwick, and the niece of writer John Sedgwick.

Edith was an American actress, model, and socialite, who was one of Andy Warhol’s superstars, starring in several of his short films during the 1960s.

Her prominence led to her being dubbed an It Girl while Vogue magazine named her a Youthquaker.

She died at age 28 in Santa Barbara.

She is the aunt of R&B singer George Nozuka actor Philip Nozuka, and singer/songwriter Justin Nozuka.

Their mother, Holly, is Sedgwick’s half-sister.
