Ainsley Earhardt Opens Up About Long-Distance Engagement with Sean Hannity – “We Make It Work”
Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt and Sean Hannity shocked fans with their Christmas engagement, but the couple has now confirmed that their relationship will remain long-distance. Despite their deep love and plans to marry, Earhardt, 48, revealed on Fox & Friends that she will stay in New York with her daughter, while Hannity, 63, will continue living in Florida.
Though their arrangement might seem unusual, the pair insists that it works perfectly for them.
“Sean is down in Florida, and we don’t miss a weekend without each other,” Earhardt shared. “We see each other. We make it work. It’s easy.”
With their unwavering commitment to each other, their shared faith, and a deep understanding of career demands, the couple—dubbed “The First Couple of Fox”—has proven that love doesn’t always have to fit the traditional mold.
A Surprise Proposal with Deep Meaning
Earhardt also opened up about Hannity’s unexpected proposal, describing the heartfelt moment that took place during their holiday break.
“I thought we were going to a meeting, and we pulled up to the church instead. I said, ‘This is not the right turn.’ And he said, ‘We’re not going to the meeting.’”
The couple then sat together in the front pew, reflecting on their journey before Hannity walked her to the altar and got down on one knee.
Gushing about her fiancé, Earhardt expressed nothing but admiration:
“I respect him so much. I look up to him. He’s been there for all of us in our careers. We all love and adore him, and then we fell in love a few years ago, and it’s been a wonderful ride. I’m so grateful.”
While they have kept most details private, the couple shared that the proposal took place in their “home church,” emphasizing the role faith plays in their relationship.

The Challenges and Triumphs of Ainsley’s Love Life
Finding her happily ever after hasn’t been an easy journey for Earhardt. Before meeting Hannity, she endured two failed marriages, one of which was marred by infidelity rumors.
Her first marriage to college sweetheart Kevin McKinney in 2005 seemed picture-perfect at first. The couple wed in a lavish ceremony at the South Carolina governor’s mansion, complete with 11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen.
However, as Earhardt’s career skyrocketed at Fox News, she and McKinney divorced quietly in 2009. Neither have spoken publicly about the reasons behind their split.
Shortly after, she found love again with former Clemson Tigers quarterback Will Proctor. The pair tied the knot in 2012 and soon faced the heartbreak of a miscarriage before welcoming their daughter, Hayden, in 2015.
Unfortunately, their marriage ended just three years later in 2018, amid rumors of Proctor’s infidelity.
By 2020, speculation began swirling that Earhardt had found love again—this time with Fox News powerhouse Sean Hannity.
Hannity and Earhardt: A Relationship Years in the Making
While the couple has only recently gone public, sources have long suggested that their romance had been ongoing for quite some time.
In April 2023, DailyMail.com published exclusive photos of them vacationing together in Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Earhardt’s seven-year-old daughter.
When they finally announced their engagement on December 27, the couple issued a heartfelt statement:
“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives.”
Their ex-spouses were notified ahead of time, with both confirming that “everyone is supportive of each other.”

Navigating a Long-Distance Marriage
With their engagement now official, how will Hannity and Earhardt maintain a marriage while living in separate states?
Fox News insiders have hinted that Earhardt may occasionally work remotely from Florida to be closer to Hannity, though she has made it clear that New York will remain her primary home.
“I love my community, I love my daughter’s school, and obviously, I love my job,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Hannity has been firm about his move to Florida, citing:
✅ Lower taxes
✅ Republican leadership
✅ Warmer weather
✅ Escape from New York’s political chaos
“It’s obvious—this migration out of the deep blue states with high taxes, burdensome regulation, high crime, horrible school districts, is real,” Hannity said.
Despite the distance between them, the couple is confident in their ability to make it work, as they prioritize faith, family, and quality time together.
What’s Next for “The First Couple of Fox”?
With two of Fox News’ biggest stars now engaged, all eyes are on what comes next for Hannity and Earhardt.
While they have yet to reveal wedding plans, it’s clear that their commitment to each other is stronger than ever—even if it means navigating a long-distance love story.
