The revelation about Eva Longoria and Meryl Streep’s unexpected familial connection has surely left netizens surprised. Turns out, the “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars are cousins by relation. During Longoria’s conversation with host Jimmy Fallon on his popular talk show, the actor-producer revealed that she discovered her and Streep’s connection through a DNA test on Henry Louis Gates Jr.’s show, “Finding Your Roots.”

Longoria further revealed that Streep has also been aware of this surprising but intriguing fact. The actor, who recently celebrated her 50th birthday, talked about a fun incident where she met Streep backstage at an award show. Longoria said that after seeing the Oscar winner, her friend encouraged her to go up to the actor to tell her that she was her cousin. However, the “Desperate Housewives” alum was hesitant to make that move. But to her utter surprise, she heard Streep calling her, “Cousin! Cousin!”

After that, the two actors had a heartwarming “cousins reunion.” During the interview with Jimmy Fallon, Eva Longoria recalled telling Meryl Streep, “Clearly you got the talent in the family.” In response to that, the “The Devil Wears Prada” actor said, “Clearly you got the beauty.” Longoria further added, “How sweet is she!”
