Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf has had his fair share of appearances in commercials, TV shows and movies, playing himself in Peacock’s most recent season of Bel-Air and appearing in commercials for brands like the NFL, Hulu, lululemon and Gatorade.
Now, Metcalf can add baking show to the resume as well, after the latest season of The Great American Baking Show aired and features celebrities in the “Celebrity Big Game” edition. Metcalf starred with Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead as well as Hall of Fame tight end, Tony Gonzalez, actress Amy Smart, and sports host Katie Nolan in the reality baking competition.
Metcalf later appeared as a guest of Nolan’s on her podcast, Casuals with Katie Nolan, to discuss the experience, among other topics.
“I’m very excited for people to see my baking skills in the kitchen because I don’t think they’d be expecting it from me,” Metcalf shared.
Unsurprisingly, Nolan was struck by Metcalf’s competitiveness. “It was the first time in a long time that I had competed against athletes in any type of way, I usually just watch you guys compete against each other. Boy, what an interesting experience it is! You all take every competition in your life as seriously as the one we watch you do on Sundays.”

The show aired on February 3 (we won’t spoil anything!) and Metcalf competes against the four other contestants to compete for the Star Baker trophy. The episode can be found on the Roku Channel.
