The legal drama between actress Blake Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni has shown no signs of slowing down, though Lively is remaining ‘surprisingly calm.
The 37-year-old actress originally filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department detailing harassment she suffered while working on the film with Baldoni, 41.
After a New York Times story revealed Baldoni hired a crisis PR firm to ‘bury’ Lively, the director filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the newspaper.
Lively and Baldoni have also filed lawsuits against each other over the last few weeks, though the actress is still in a good place.
‘Blake is surprisingly calm and just tries to focus on family life,’ a source close to the actress told People.
‘She’s in constant contact with her team. She sees the whole lawsuit drama as a necessary bump, but she’s not letting it take away from her main focus, which is her children,’ the source added.

Lawyers for both Lively and Baldoni were in court in New York City on Monday, where Lively’s lawyer Michael Gottlieb said that new allegations will be added.
He said there will be an amended complaint that will be filed by Valentine’s Day, which comes after Baldoni amended his own lawsuit.
Gottlieb added that the amended complaint would include a protective order that would shield Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds’ celebrity friends, which may include the likes of pop star Taylor Swift.
Gottlieb said in court, ‘We do believe there will be provisions in a protective order that will be appropriate in this case given the nature of the allegations and the high profile nature of some of the individuals who will be involved.’
‘There is a significant number of high profile individuals on both sides. In particular addressing the interests and needs of third parties is going to be very important in this case,’ he added.
Gottlieb said he would plan to ‘seek protections we believe will be very important particularly in a case where there’s been a significant amount of leaking materials.’
Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said he would be prepared to agree to the order, which comes after the judge combined both Lively and Baldoni’s cases against each other.
Freedman insisted that his client Baldoni has been damaged greatly through this legal drama, claiming he has lost ‘hundreds of millions of dollars.’

One of the jobs he lost was a film adaptation of Pac-Man, which had been in the works since 2022.
However, Baldoni’s movie about the eighties Bandai Namco video game ‘could happen at a later date’ when ‘the dust settles’ around the scandal.
Wayfarer has a few projects already in the can including Eleanor the Great, the feature directorial debut of Scarlett Johansson, which TriStar Pictures and Sony Pictures Classics will release later this year.
Baldoni’s independent production company will also soon see the release of Roshan Sethi’s queer rom-com A Nice Indian Boy, Rod Lurie’s sports drama The Senior, and Christopher Leone’s paramedic comedy Code 3.
