EXCLUSIVE: Love Island’s Emily Moran breaks silence on Conor Phillips’ romance with Shakira Khan

‘Conor likes the Hideaway mind. He does like the Hideaway. That’s his little party trick, you know, taking people into this.’

What we absolutely adore about this summer’s edition of Love Island is that literally anything could happen at any given moment.

Literally, anyone could recouple with anyone at any given time, a fresh feud could erupt at any moment, and best of all, barely any of our couples are closed off and we’re five weeks in (’cause let’s be honest, the drama is spicier when a Love Island cast aren’t in happily married couples).

Even the Islanders themselves can’t predict what’s going to happen next.

Take recently-dumped Love Island 2025 queen Emily Moran, for example. She only left the villa a couple of days ago and the villa dynamics have been turned upside down in that time once again – in fact, we told Emily about the potential sparks sparking between Conor Phillips and Shakira Khan, and she literally went, ‘What?!’

F**K, this series is so damn iconic.

ICYMI, OGs Shakira and Conor are exploring a new connection (one that has materialised out of nothing) after being besties for the last five weeks, and naturally, given that Emily was coupled up with the Irish stud in the early days of her Love Island journey, we simply HAD to get her thoughts on the new connection when she paid us a visit at heat Towers this week.

When we brought up the new pairing, Emily exclusively told heatworld, ‘Shakira and Conor? I don’t know. Like, I’ve only ever seen them as friends. Obviously, they’ve been in [it] from the start together and they were really close, but I thought as friends, to be honest.’

Being the friendly neighbourhood s**t stirrers we are, we then told Emily about how Conor and Shakira went to the Hideaway together in last night’s episode – something she was unaware of at the time.

Emily replied, ‘God, Connor likes the Hideaway, mind. He does like the Hideaway. That’s his little party trick, you know, taking people into this. So who knows. But I feel a little bit sorry for Ty [Isherwood]. He’s actually really, really nice.

‘But, oh God, maybe he has blown it with Megan [Forte Clarke] now then. Who knows? But not ideal.’

She added, ‘If [Shakira and Conor] sort of have that connection and they’re getting on, then I suppose it is Love Island. Who knows, maybe it will blossom into something else.’

Or, it’ll all completely change by tomorrow ’cause Love Island 2025.

Conor’s probably coupled up with the Hideaway’s hot tub by now.
