The Dallas Mavericks continued their sorry run in the NBA. Going up against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, the Mavericks succumbed to a 116-125 loss. Ever since the trade of Luka Doncic, the Mavericks have been finding it difficult to add to their win column. However, amidst all the controversy, one particular moment caught fans’ eyes. Soon after the game ended, the spectators became excited about the possibility of Kevin Durant joining the Mavericks this season. And they had enough reasons to guess so.

At one point during the game, Duranr could be spotted walking up to the Mavericks’ head coach, Jason Kidd. Both Kidd and Durant seemed to be having a deep conversation that sparked the rumors. After all, things have been quite tumultuous between the Suns and Durant.

Reports have been coming in about KD feeling ‘blindsided’ by the trade talks. Thus, Durant may seek a new team by the end of the season. Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, and OKC Thunder are touted as frontrunners. The recent interaction between Kidd and KD has got the fans talking.

CLAB 19: Remembering Tommy Heinsohn & highly subjective draft thoughts
We originally planned to talk out irrational gut feelings or overconfidence in 2020 NBA draft prospects ahead of Wednesday’s big event, but a legend passed in the interim. With franchise icon Tommy Heinsohn’s death arriving after a long absence from the team he never could stay far from, we instead chose to share our favorite memories of the Celtic giant. We’re joined by Red’s Army writer and resident historian Mike Dynon, who regaled us with a window into his early fandom watching the Hall-of-Fame player and coach move to the other side of the clipboard. We did manage to squeeze in at least some of the draft talk we’d initially planned to focus on afterwards as well. Join Off the Glass’ Alex Goldberg, Celtics Hub’s Cam Tabatabaie, Celtics Wire editor Justin Quinn and Celtics Lab’s Mark Allison as we work out our nagging suspicions about the NBA draft.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. CL Pod 59: The Boston Celtics Aren’t Dead – They’re Feeling Better, Actually
The Boston Celtics aren’t dead – they’re feeling better actually. Excuse the Monty Python reference, but with all the injuries this team has managed to keep going with yet still be in the hunt for the ultimate prize, Python’s Holy Grail seems pretty apt. The starters have shown signs of life despite being left for dead by the national media, and the second unit keeps on fighting despite losing several key parts, much like the Black Knight. But what other moves has Boston made to address their significant lack of depth, and how are the playoffs looking this week? Maybe most interesting of all, why are beat writers penning missives to their lack of yearning for a departed former player six months after said exit? All these questions and more are answered by Luis Gonzales and Justin Quinn in this week’s podcast.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Another fan said, “l’d rather have Luka than kd and ad.”

A third fan commented, “Nah… I don’t think so bro.”

This user opined that if the deal comes through then Mavericks’ offense will be ‘crazy.’ The comment read,“Would be crazy offense.”

This fan said, “7/11 BACKKKKKK.”

Lastly, a fan chimed in, “Well since Nico is a bad GM wouldn’t count on it.”

Thus, with things likely to take an interesting turn, what happens next remains to be seen.
