VIDEO: Ja Morant Couldn’t Help Himself From Hugging Jarrett Allen After Getting Posterized By The Cavaliers Star

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 129-123 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday was filled with moments that broke the typical NBA script. While the game itself was a tightly contested battle, one rare light-hearted moment between Ja Morant and Jarrett Allen on the court truly stole the spotlight.
Late in the fourth quarter, Allen delivered a powerful two-handed slam over the Grizzlies star. Rather than walking away in frustration, Morant responded in the most unexpected way by wrapping Allen in a hug and flashing a wide smile.
The sequence began when Evan Mobley fed Allen the ball inside the paint. Despite Morant’s attempt to foul him and stop the play, Allen threw down a thunderous dunk. But instead of tension or frustration, the moment ended with Morant embracing Allenin mid-air. As they landed, the two shared a laugh, giving fans a wholesome moment amid the intensity of the game.
This wasn’t the only instance where Allen brought levity to the matchup. Earlier, during a scuffle between Donovan Mitchell and Desmond Bane, while teammates rushed in to break up the altercation, Allen was caught on camera laughing alongside Santi Aldama.
Despite the heated moments and fierce competition, the Cavaliers secured their seventh straight win. Allen finished the game with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Morant scored 21 points and ten rebounds in his team’s loss.

“Ja Morant, honestly, hasn’t been that guy all season long. One could argue that Austin Reaves, and I say this respectively, Austin Reaves has had more of a productive season this year than Ja Morant. If you don’t believe me, go look at the numbers,” Perkins said.
Morant is averaging 20.5 points, while Reaves is averaging 19.2 points per game this season. Only time will tell if Morant can put more power into proving Perkins and others wrong.
