The Minnesota Timberwolves had a sorry outing against the Houston Rockets. In their recent matchup, Timberwolves succumbed to a 115-121 defeat to make things further worse for the team. However, apart from the loss, the Timberwolves also had a significant moment during the game. With the players going in for halftime, Timberwolves’ star Anthony Edwards got into a heated scuffle with a Rockets fan.

With both parties exchanging unpleasant verbal attacks, the situation threatened to get out of hand. Suspecting the impending risk, Timberwolves’ assistant coach, Corliss Williamson, intervened and had to forcefully restrain Edwards using physical coercion. The video of the altercation soon spread rapidly on social media. There were speculations sparking about whether the NBA would go in for disciplinary action against the Wolves’ star.

Thankfully for Minnesota, no such punishments have been announced so far. However, it could have gone awry easily, considering Edwards’ past history. This season alone, Edwards has had his fair share of controversy. Committing various disciplinary lapses over the season, Edwards has accumulated over $285,000 in fines! His latest incident of getting fined came in January 2025. Edwards was hit with a $50,000 fine after he made a controversial gesture towards a referee. Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards has shown his funnier side, too. In a recent interaction, Edwards had a hilarious request.
