Carson Beck’s career in Miami appears to have gotten off to a very rough start.

The quarterback made one of the biggest moves in college football over the winter period as he changed his mind about the NFL Draft, electing to enter the transfer portal instead.

Having played for Georgia from 2020-2024, the 22-year-old opted to join his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, a guard for the U’s women’s basketball program, in Miami.

According to reports, they both had vehicles stolen on Wednesday night.

FOX’s Andy Slater has reported that Beck had two cars stolen overnight in South Florida, while Hanna also had an SUV stolen. While the latter has been recovered, police are still looking for the QB’s Lamborghini and Mercedes-Benz.

“Miami Hurricanes QB Carson Beck had both of his cars stolen in South Florida overnight, a senior law-enforcement official tells me,” Slater noted, adding that the player’s girlfriend’s vehicle has been found.

Midseason Celtics Bluesky NBA basketball mailbag
Fans of the Boston Celtics now find themselves in what is probably the dullest part of the NBA’s 2024-25 regular season. At present, the Celtics are on the outside looking in with regard to the 2024-25 NBA Cup knockout round in Las Vegas, with a slate of mostly uninspiring opponents coming at Boston at a fairly relaxed pace in terms of the frequency of games. And thanks to a bevy a great questions from our listeners, the site has more than delivered. Carson Beck Set For A Huge Payday In Miami

Carson Beck is a known car enthusiast. It was revealed that he had gotten a Lamborghini SUV during his final year with the Georgia Bulldogs. That two of his rides were stolen will definitely be of great concern to him, especially considering the value.

Meanwhile, Beck is believed to be set for a $10 million payday in Miami, so his girlfriend being there was hardly the only incentive for the switch.

The QB threw for a total of 7,912 passing yards, 58 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions while with the Bulldogs. He sustained a season-ending shoulder injury during the SEC Championship Game last season and has since undergone surgery.

Beck is still recovering from the operation but is expected to be ready to play by the time the 2025 college football season begins later this year.
