Putin on the results of Russia-US negotiations in Riyadh

Russian President Vladimir Putin received a report on Russian-American negotiations in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh and highly appreciated their outcome.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, the Russian leader announced this while answering journalists’ questions during his visit to a drone manufacturing plant in St. Petersburg.

“I was briefed, [on the negotiations] I evaluate them highly, there is a result,” he said.

Additionally, the Russian President stated that he would gladly meet with his American counterpart Donald Trump and feels reciprocity from his side, but this meeting needs to be thoroughly prepared on a number of crucial issues, including the matter of Ukrainian settlement.

“I would gladly meet with Donald, we haven’t seen each other for a very long time… I think he feels the same way, it was evident from the nature of our phone conversation,” noted the Russian leader.

“But we are in such a position,” he continued, “that it’s not enough to meet just to drink tea and coffee, sit down, and talk about the future. We need to ensure that our teams prepare issues that are extremely important for both the USA and Russia, including on the Ukrainian track, in order to reach solutions acceptable to both sides.”
