“Nobody Can Play Like Them” – Tyrese Haliburton Hails Nikola Jokic’s High-IQ Playmaking After 19-Assist Masterclass

Nikola Jokic has been on a mission this season for the Denver Nuggets. Aiming to clinch the NBA title, Jokic has almost single-handedly carried his team to a position of dominance this year. Courtesy of his incredible form, the Denver Nuggets had one of the best winning streaks that lasted for nine games. However, all of that came to an end with the defeat against the Lakers. Now, after just one bad day in the office, Jokic made normalcy return to the Nuggets’ locker room. And Tyrese Haliburton could not be more impressed.
Clashing against the Indiana Pacers, the Nuggets clinched a dominant 125-116 victory. Once again, the star of the show was the Serbian. Nikola Jokic dropped 18 points with a 9-of-14 shooting from the field. However, the highlight of his play was his career-high 19 assists.
Impressed by the performance, Pacers’ Haliburton could not contain his awe, as he said, “You know that terrible narrative of people who don’t really understand the NBA saying that we all play the same – Nobody plays like them. Nobody can play like them because of what [Joker] does.”
Meanwhile, as things are looking quite rosy for the Denver Nuggets at the moment, Jokic came up with an honest assessment.
Nikola Jokic Doubles Down On Nuggets’ Winning Streak
Nikola Jokic stated that actually, they might not have been playing as good as people thought to be. As a matter of fact, while the Nuggets went on a nine-game rampage, Jokic and the Nuggets looked quite invincible. However, all of that came to a screeching halt as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated them recently.
Thus, reflecting on the same, Jokic stated, “We had the 9-game winning streak against teams that were injured and teams that were not really good or high in the standings. So maybe we tricked ourselves in that we are playing good.”

Surely, such a critical analysis makes evident the iron-clad mentality that Nikola Jokic possesses. Now that they are back to winning ways, it remains to be seen how things pan out.
