Kevin Durant is by far one of the greatest basketball players, and LeBron James knows it well. Other than dominating in the NBA for years, the latest endorsement for the greatest men’s Olympic player of all time is coming his way.

We all know Netflix has been cooking something for a bit longer now. One after the other, their teaser videos are getting fans’ attention. A latest Instagram post went viral where coach Steve Kerr was quoted putting his full blown praise for Durant.

“Kevin’s the greatest men’s Olympic player of all time,” Kerr said during Netflix’s documentary Court of Gold. However, it did not take long for LeBron to notice the post and he took no long to repost it on his Instagram story.

“Facts!!!!!!!!!!!” James wrote while captioning Kerr’s quote.

Well there’s enough validation to this latest endorsement. Durant has numerous accolades that he reached throughout his Olympic career. His tally includes four gold medals over four consecutive Games. Durant’s Olympic journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

His debut in London in 2012 marked the beginning of a continuous upward trajectory. He became the highest-scoring player in Olympic history, leading Team USA to victories with impressive averages in points, rebounds, and assists. Each subsequent Olympic appearance, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024, has only added to his impressive resume.

NBA Insider Calls Out Kevin Durant For His Message To Fans

The frustration among the basketball fans has been real lately. They are nowhere near impressed with the NBA All-Star format change and everything the league is trying to engage the audience.

Recently, NBA insider Ryen Russillo took aim at superstar Kevin Durant for his controversial remarks suggesting that fans might be better off watching other sports. Durant’s blunt message on social media conveyed his frustration with the constant complaints about the All-Star events, essentially calling for the cancellation of the weekend that has been under scrutiny for years.

However, Russillo asserted that such a sentiment from one of the league’s top players comes off as tone-deaf and self-centered. He mentioned this, especially given that stars like Durant have significantly benefited from the NBA’s lucrative television deals.

“I mean Kevin Durant had a tweet the other day about hockey. He was basically inviting you to stop watching basketball, which is really stupid and just so self-centered when you think of like ‘Yeah, that’d be great’ all of the best stars in the sport told their fans go watch something else after you pocketed hundreds of millions of dollars based on a television contract and all of the daily interest on your league,” Russillo said.

Russillo didn’t hold back, emphasizing that encouraging fans to divert their attention from basketball to hockey was a misguided approach from Durant. He criticized the notion that prominent athletes should be suggesting alternatives instead of striving to enhance the sport that has propelled their careers and financial success.
