Kevin Durant and Angel Reese Are The Basketball Stars Dating - YouTube

The Phoenix Suns celebrated Women’s Empowerment Month by honoring female athletes and their contributions to sports. As part of the celebration, the team shared a video of their players naming their favorite female athletes. While many players highlighted legendary figures in women’s sports, Kevin Durant was different in his answer.

Angel Reese recently registered a double-double and helped her team, Rose BC, reach the playoffs in Unrivaled. The Suns shared a video clip of the players in the practice area. Durant was spotted walking idly while he was asked about his choice.

Angel Reese,” Durant said.

Durant’s choice instantly sparked discussion, as he did not elaborate on why he picked Reese. However, the LSU standout turned WNBA rookie has undeniably made an impact on the game. Alongside fellow rookie Caitlin Clark, Reese has elevated the WNBA’s popularity and fan engagement.

With Durant being one of Team USA’s most prominent figures and Reese making headlines in the women’s game, their appearance together fueled dating rumors. Reese, however, was quick to shut down the speculation. During an episode of her show Unapologetically Angel, she addressed the topic directly.

“No, that was never a thing,” Reese said.

CLAB 19: Remembering Tommy Heinsohn & highly subjective draft thoughts
We originally planned to talk out irrational gut feelings or overconfidence in 2020 NBA draft prospects ahead of Wednesday’s big event, but a legend passed in the interim. With franchise icon Tommy Heinsohn’s death arriving after a long absence from the team he never could stay far from, we instead chose to share our favorite memories of the Celtic giant. We’re joined by Red’s Army writer and resident historian Mike Dynon, who regaled us with a window into his early fandom watching the Hall-of-Fame player and coach move to the other side of the clipboard. We did manage to squeeze in at least some of the draft talk we’d initially planned to focus on afterwards as well. Join Off the Glass’ Alex Goldberg, Celtics Hub’s Cam Tabatabaie, Celtics Wire editor Justin Quinn and Celtics Lab’s Mark Allison as we work out our nagging suspicions about the NBA draft.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. CL Pod 69: On LeBron Joining (and Kyrie Leaving) The Celtics
With the offseason in full effect for all thirty NBA teams, attention now turns to the process of assembling next season’s squads, and with the Boston Celtics poised to be among the league’s elite, you’d think it would look to be a slow summer. And you’d be wrong, if analysts like Stephen A. Smith are correct that LeBron James will meet with Danny Ainge this summer about joining the team. There’s also (potentially related) rumblings former LeBron teammate and current Celtics star Kyrie Irving may not want to stick around after next season, a plethora of trade proposals (most of them bad) to consider. Join Mark Allison and Justin Quinn as they try to make sense out of all this unexpected drama, as well as getting caught up on other news within the organization and around the league.  Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Can Boston beat the Miami Heat banged up?
Any NBA postseason series is about matchups and adjustments, and in the case of the Boston Celtics’ 2022 Eastern Conference semifinals series with the No. 1 seeded Miami Heat, they will likely prove critical elements to the team that finds a way to advance to the finals. The Celtics own the best defense in the league in the 2021-22 regular season, but the Heat are not far behind at No. 4 in that department, and both teams have an adaptable style of play and solid coaching staff to guide their respective teams on both ends. We also knew coming into the series that health was going to be a factor with each team’s lead point guard dealing with injuries sustained earlier in the postseason — Marcus Smart with a sprained foot he hurt in Game 7 against the Brooklyn Nets in the East semis, and Kyle Lowry with lingering hamstring issues. We did not, however, know that veteran big man Al Horford was going to end up back in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, or that center Robert Williams III is reportedly likely and able to play significant minutes against Miami. On this episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, your hosts Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn do their best to predict the East finals matchup between Boston and Miami, even as they learn about Boston’s injury woes mid-recording. Buckle up, this is going to be a rough ride for the Celtics. CLPod 043.5: The Pick Swap (76ers) & CelticsLife Podcast Crossover
The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics have been rivals almost as long as there’s been a league for them to be rivals in, and while that rivalry has ebbed and flowed over the decades, with both squads coming to the end of respective rebuilds, it looks to be heating back up again. To that end, the folks over at Sports Talk Philadelphia’s podcast, the Pick Swap, teamed up with CelticsLife’s Justin Quinn to take a look at each other’s rebuilds in context, where the teams are at now, and where they might go from here. They also dive into the game this Thursday and the match in London this January. Jesse Larch, Brian Apter, Joshua Liddick and Justin get into Marcus Smart’s value to the Celtics, what he might command in free agency, and all kinds of juicy tidbits about each other’s teams. There’s loads of information about the 76ers, and lots of thoughts on how Boston looks to non-fans, so block off some time and listen to this week’s mid-week podcast – we promise you won’t walk away without learning something new about our longtime rivals…and maybe even the Celtics, too.    Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Stephen A. Smith Calls On The Thunder To Bring Kevin Durant Back For A Title Push

NBA insider Shams Charania recently reported that Durant and the Suns would work together on a potential trade if Phoenix decided to move him. After the news, Stephen A. Smith passionately argued that the Oklahoma City Thunder should consider bringing Durant back if their current roster falls short this season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder should go and get Kevin Durant back. If you lose this year, if you don’t get it done this year, they should go back and get Kevin Durant. They’ve got so many assets, they have stuff to give away. They can’t possibly use all of them,” Smith said.

Durant’s name entering trade discussions isn’t surprising. The Suns have been in a downward spiral, going 2-8 in their last 10 games. If the Suns fail to turn things around, it’s becoming increasingly likely that Durant could seek a new opportunity elsewhere.
