The Phoenix Suns are set to face the Chicago Bulls on Friday at the United Center. This game is crucial for the Suns as they look to snap their four-game losing streak and regain momentum. There is also hope, as their star forward, Kevin Durant, is off the injury report and is expected to play.

The Suns have faced significant challenges throughout the season, prompting them to explore trade options. One major move they pursued was acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat to pair him with Durant. However, the plan fell through as Butler ultimately joined the Golden State Warriors.

Despite the setback, the Suns reaffirmed their commitment to Kevin Durant. However, reports suggest that this could be Durant’s final season in Phoenix. Hence, each game allows him to strengthen his legacy before potentially moving on.

For Friday’s game, the Suns will be without Cody Martin, who is sidelined with a sports hernia. Meanwhile, Jalen Bridges remains out under his two-way contract.

On the Bulls’ side, Jalen Smith remains in concussion protocol and will be unavailable. Ayo Dosunmu is listed as questionable due to soreness in his left shoulder. Josh Giddey is probable with a right wrist sprain. At the same time, E.J. Liddell and Emanuel Miller will continue their assignments in the G League. Nikola Vucevic is probably ready for the game, but Patrick Williams has been ruled out.

“There’s beauty in the struggle. It’s beauty in all that stuff, especially when you come out on the other side of things and you realize that pressure and hard times make you better,” Durant said.

The Suns now sit at the eleventh spot in the Western Conference with a 26-29 record. Individually, Durant continues to shine despite the team’s struggles. In 42 games played this season, he’s averaging 27.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
