The Milwaukee Bucks are gearing up to face off against the Miami Heat on Sunday. However, there are concerns regarding the availability of their star players, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

In the Bucks’ initial injury report released on Saturday, both players received downgrades due to their respective injuries. Antetokounmpo is listed as probable with a left calf strain, an issue that previously sidelined him for a week earlier this month. This same injury has caused him to be on a minutes restriction in the games since the All-Star break.

In his limited appearance against the Washington Wizards last Friday, he scored 18 points in 19 minutes before fouling out. Additionally, Lillard is also listed as probable with a right hamstring strain that led him to miss the previous game. After struggling in the first game post-All-Star break against the LA Clippers, Lillard missed the second game of a back-to-back. Now, he is expected to return against the Heat if cleared.

If both players can make it to the court, they will aim for their 32nd win of the season and look to secure a third victory over the Heat. They have won the previous two matchups, including a significant 125-96 win on January 23.

The Bucks have a 5-5 record in their last 10 games, while the Heat have a slightly worse 4-6 record. In terms of overall performance, Milwaukee is 24-16 against Eastern Conference opponents, while Miami is 15-16 in the same category.

Before fouling out, Antetokounmpo recorded 18 points, along with six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in just under 20 minutes of play. However, he shot 6-of-9 from the field and 6-of-11 from the free-throw line. This game marked his second appearance back after a calf injury that had sidelined him for six games.

The Bucks were also missing key players Damian Lillard and Taurean Prince. And sixth man Bobby Portis was out due to a suspension. Despite leading by as much as 15 points during the game and having a nine-point advantage entering the fourth quarter, the Bucks found themselves in a tight contest. The Wizards made a late run, cutting the deficit to just two points, 100-98, with just over two minutes to go.
