The Milwaukee Bucks, who hold the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, are set to take on the fifth-seeded Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared on the team’s latest injury report ahead of the game.

Giannis is listed as probable due to a left calf strain. This is the same injury that previously sidelined him for six games before the All-Star break.

Since recovering from the injury, Antetokounmpo has maintained his dominant form. This season, he is averaging 30.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.

The Bucks’ official injury report for their game against the Pacers lists multiple players with varying statuses. Andre Livingston is ruled out due to a non-COVID illness, while Bobby Portis Jr. remains unavailable due to a league suspension.

Pat Connaughton and Larry Nance Jr. are both questionable, dealing with a left calf strain and a left ankle sprain, respectively. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard is listed as probable with right groin soreness.

Midrange theories, Celtics slumps, and Jaylen’s value with Seth Partnow
When it comes to using analytics to get a fresh perspective on things, there are few in the game with a better angle on that than The Athletic’s Seth Partnow. Former Head of Basketball Research for the Milwaukee Bucks and recent author of the new book “The Midrange Theory: Basketball’s Evolution in the Age of Analytics” (pre-order it here!), Partnow joined your usual hosts Alex Goldberg, Cameron Tabatabaie, and Justin Quinn on the most recent edition of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Lab” to talk about his new book and all things analytics. Get ready to have some of your assumptions about this team, its coaching, and even some especially contentious recently rumored trade proposals challenged on one of our favorite pods in recent memory. If you are a regular listener to the Celtics Lab, it’s clear you love the team, basketball, and quite possibly both, and we have met very few people who enjoy talking hoops more than Partnow. Check out the clip embedded above to hear everything from what we expected out of Robert Williams III in the new Celtics offense to why some triple-doubles (we see you, Magic Johnson) are more meaningful than others. CL Pod 59: The Boston Celtics Aren’t Dead – They’re Feeling Better, Actually
The Boston Celtics aren’t dead – they’re feeling better actually. Excuse the Monty Python reference, but with all the injuries this team has managed to keep going with yet still be in the hunt for the ultimate prize, Python’s Holy Grail seems pretty apt. The starters have shown signs of life despite being left for dead by the national media, and the second unit keeps on fighting despite losing several key parts, much like the Black Knight. But what other moves has Boston made to address their significant lack of depth, and how are the playoffs looking this week? Maybe most interesting of all, why are beat writers penning missives to their lack of yearning for a departed former player six months after said exit? All these questions and more are answered by Luis Gonzales and Justin Quinn in this week’s podcast.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. The Bucks suffered a heartbreaking 111-109 loss to the Orlando Magic as Damian Lillard missed a potential game-winning shot at the buzzer. Following the defeat, Giannis Antetokounmpo weighed in on the final possession and expressed confidence in his teammate despite the outcome.

“In a situation like that also, I think I’m capable of taking the ball at the elbow if they play one-on-one and trying to take the shot myself if they don’t make something happen. But it’s one or the other. I’m cool with one of the best closers in the game taking that shotWe all have to live with it,” Giannis said.

Giannis finished the game with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. With his scoring output, he climbed to No. 50 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. The Bucks star surpassed Tom Chambers, who had 20,049 career points.
