Is Anthony Davis Playing Tonight Against The Golden State Warriors? Latest Injury Update On Mavericks Star

The Dallas Mavericks appear to still hold some ill feelings toward their former star, Luka Doncic, as they recently excluded him from a highlight video. Meanwhile, their high-stakes decision to bring in Anthony Davis has not unfolded as they had hoped. They didn’t anticipate Davis suffering an injury during his debut game with the Mavericks.
The Mavericks are set to face the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. But Davis remains sidelined for the game as well. This will mark the seventh consecutive game he has missed since joining the team this season.
When healthy, Davis showcased his athleticism and potential in front of the Dallas crowd. In his debut game, he delivered 26 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists, shooting 10-of-18 from the field and a perfect 2-of-2 from beyond the arc.
In addition to Davis, the Mavericks’ injury report for their upcoming game against the Warriors remains concerning. PJ Washington is listed as questionable, Dwight Powell is doubtful, while Caleb Martin, Dereck Lively II, and Daniel Gafford are all ruled out. Jonathan Kuminga will also miss the game on the Warriors’ side due to an ankle injury.
When Will Anthony Davis Return To The Court?
The Mavericks have been under fire from fans ever since they traded Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis. The frustration only deepened after Davis suffered an injury during his debut, and the outrage continues to grow with each passing day. Many believe that a swift return from Davis could help ease their frustration, but that hope remains distant.
Unfortunately for Dallas fans, Davis won’t make his comeback anytime soon. Last Thursday, the team shared an update stating that Davis is “making good progress.” However, they also revealed that he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Based on this timeline, Davis is expected to miss at least seven more games. The setback is due to a left adductor strain he sustained on February 8. This same injury had already sidelined him for his final three games with the Los Angeles Lakers before the trade to Dallas.
