As a result, he will become the first active player in US professional sports to land an administrative job with an NCAA team.

Curry played three seasons at Davidson from 2006 until 2009 before joining the Golden State Warriors as a rookie.

He will now work alongside general manager Austin Buntz to provide guidance to the men’s and women’s teams.

The point guard is also set to start an eight-figure fund for both the men and women’s programs with the help of his wife, Ayesha, and longtime Davidson supporters Don, Matt and Erica Berman.
