The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Denver Nuggets on February 22, 2025. The game will take place at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, and will start at 8:30 p.m. ET. As the playoffs draw near, the Los Angeles Lakers will have an extra urgency to prove their worth. Currently sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference, LeBron James and co. would want to make their win column have a significant lead over the losses.

On the other hand, the Denver Nuggets are currently enjoying the cream of the crop. With just the Thunder ahead of them, Nikola Jokic and co. will look forward to continuing their fiery form. At 37 wins and 19 losses, the Nuggets will be fancying themselves to a great extent. However, once the game commences, what happens is anybody’s guess.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Predictions

First up, the Denver Nuggets are having yet another dream run in the NBA. Aiming for the championships, the team looks to be perfectly on track at the moment. Currently, on a nine-match winning streak, the Nuggets suffered their previous loss back in January against the New York Knicks. Currently, they have shown no signs of slowing down. They are coming off a resounding 129-115 victory in their last match against the Charlotte Hornets. Thus, with such a strong form to show off, it might be a bit difficult for the Lakers to put them off.

Coming to the Los Angeles Lakers, they have finally managed to pick up a win to get their records up to 33 wins and 21 losses. In their last game against the Portland Trail Blazers, James and his team put up a dominant performance to clinch a 110-102 victory. However, despite Luka Doncic’s blockbuster deal, the 25-year-old seems to be still adjusting to the new team. Now, Doncic has been quite impressive, but he is nowhere near to the superstar form that he had for the Dallas Mavericks. Thus, if the Lakers want to win consistently and turn their season around, Luka Doncic certainly holds the aces at the moment.

Celtics Lab NBA Basketball Podcast
Midseason Celtics Bluesky NBA basketball mailbag
Fans of the Boston Celtics now find themselves in what is probably the dullest part of the NBA’s 2024-25 regular season. At present, the Celtics are on the outside looking in with regard to the 2024-25 NBA Cup knockout round in Las Vegas, with a slate of mostly uninspiring opponents coming at Boston at a fairly relaxed pace in terms of the frequency of games. With that lethargic pace depressing the league’s midseason news schedule a bit, we felt it a good moment to test the waters on Bluesky — the popular new Twitter/X alternative — on its ability to deliver a quality mailbag episode. And thanks to a bevy a great questions from our listeners, the site has more than delivered. We cover everything from potential trade targets, how Boston plays on the court, and how we feel about said NBA Cup to player development concerns, causes of player slumps, and some fun, less-serious inquiries as well. So tune and and hear what we cooked up for answers to this great mailbag episode courtesy of all of your excellent questions. Celtics Lab is brought to you by PrizePicks and GameTime.
