Canadian National Anthem Singer Had Stern 3-Word Message For President Donald Trump Following Team Canada’s Overtime Win Over USA

Canadian National Anthem Singer Had Stern 3-Word Message For President Donald Trump Following Team Canada's Win Over USA

Donald Trump was not in attendance for the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden, but he did everything he could to ensure Team USA came out on top.

Trump posted on Truth Social on Thursday that he would be watching and stated he would call Team USA to wish them luck, posting on his Truth Social platform, “I’ll be calling our GREAT American Hockey Team this morning to spur them on towards victory tonight against Canada, which with FAR LOWER TAXES AND MUCH STRONGER SECURITY, will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished, and very important, Fifty First State.”

Taking a shot at Canada was all the players needed to pull out a 3-2 win in overtime.

There were many people who took great pride in the Canadians winning this game.

That includes national anthem singer Chantal Kreviazuk.

Kreviazuk had already gone viral after she changed the lyrics to ‘O Canada’ from “in all of us command” to “that only us command” in what appeared to be a dig at U.S. President Donald Trump.

She wasn’t finished sending messages as she would take to her Instagram and caption a picture of herself holding a fist, “and justice prevails. #canadastrong #thanksboys #thatonlyuscommand.”

The on-ice rivalry between the U.S. and Canada is decades old, but it has taken on another life after Trump’s comments.

When the two teams faced off in Montreal last weekend, three fights broke out in the first nine seconds of the game. Emotions were high as Canadian fans booed the American national anthem.

Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Has The Last Laugh Against Donald Trump

Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a victory lap on social media in a message that was directed at President Donald Trump.

Trudeau took to X, formerly Twitter, to say, “You can’t take our country—and you can’t take our game.”

His post came shortly after three-time NHL MVP Connor McDavid gave Canada a 3-2 overtime victory in Boston.

Clearly, his post was pointed at President Donald Trump, who has previously floated the idea of Canada being the United States’ 51st state.
