JJ Redick is just in his first year as an NBA coach. However, the manner in which he has handled a superstar team like the Los Angeles Lakers is phenomenal. And remember, Redick’s path was not filled with rose petals. After the initial winning spree, things began to take quite a sinister turn for the Lakers. While the likes of Anthony Davis did chip in with impressive performances, the lack of consistency got back to haunt them significantly.

The Lakers had several bad patches where they would lose a lot of games at a stretch. However, it was Redick who constantly fidgeted with the combination, trying to bring out the best possible results. And now, with Luka Doncic at his disposal, Redick’s coaching dreams might finally come true. Together with LeBron James, the duo has the potential to rule the NBA this season. At the age of 40, James is dropping 24.7 points on average, which is remarkable.

And cometh the hour, Luka Doncic, too, is chipping in with some massive numbers. A clash with the Denver Nuggets is always a headache for the coaches. Trying to contain Nikola Jokic, former Lakers’ HC Darvin Ham stated, “It’s like, ****, I don’t know what to do. Catch him out of his house and kidnap him.”

On the other hand, Redick confessed that he could not sleep for a couple of nights thinking about the Nuggets’ matchup. And when the Lakers ultimately crossed paths with Nikola Jokic and Co. what transpired was a dream for JJ Redick.

JJ Redick Witness A Luka Doncic Special

JJ Redick must have been thrilled to see his team put over the Denver Nuggets 123-100. And that’s not all; if there were any lingering doubts about Luka Doncic’s form, then he, too, answered it in quite a straightforward manner. Doncic dominated the game, dropping 32 points. He coupled it with seven assists and 10 rebounds.

And following closely was none other than LeBron James. James contributed with 25 points, taking the game away from the Nuggets. Surely, riding on James and Doncic’s shoulders, JJ Redick can very well envision some big dreams. With 34 wins and 21 losses, the Lakers are 4th in the West at the moment.

However, with still 28 games remaining, the duo of Doncic and James can very well create magic for the team. Thus, all in all, things are looking quite positive for JJ Redick and his team. It now remains to be seen how things pan out in the near future.
