The New York Knicks faced off against the Boston Celtics in a regular season game recently. Although the Knicks lost the game 105-118, the limelight was pretty much on the New York-based side. This was courtesy of their forward, Josh Hart. It all transpired when Celtics guard Jrue Holiday was spotted wrapping his hand around Hart’s body. While Holiday’s attempt was quite non-coercive, Hart decided to put some of his play-acting skills on display.

The Knicks’ forward immediately went up with his hands in the air and hit the deck in a dramatic manner. Now, this attempt at flopping from Hart was done purely as a way to attract a foul from the referee.

However, when none of the officials bought the act, Hart went on to make a hilarious comment on the same. “Dang no Oscar for me,” Hart stated on X.

Moreover, he was also penalized a hefty sum of $2000 for play acting by the NBA. Now, while the execution was not enough for Hart to get an Academy Award, fans certainly made the most out of the play.

Fans Chime In With Their Two Cents On The Josh Hart Incident

As soon as the post went viral, online fans flocked to the comment section. One fan stated, “The knicks should have won one for acting like they were gonna be a good defensive team…man i thought you guys were about to be the ben wallace pistons…wtf happened? Maybe try a zone or something if Kat wont rotate to the top of the key.”
