ACTRESS Sydney Sweeney ditches her engagement ring as she hits the beach with pals.

The Sun revealed last week that the Euphoria star had split from fiancé Jonathan Davino after seven years together.

But Sydney, 27, looked happy and relaxed in an Instagram pic of her grinning as she posed crouching down in the sand.

She recently returned from a holiday with friends in Tanzania where she went on safari.

This week she posted pictures and video of her taking a hot air balloon flight in Tanzania and wrote: “Only up from here.”

Insiders told The Sun that Sydney and Jonathan, 41, had called off their May wedding and were taking time apart.

A source said: “Their relationship has become strained since the start of the year and they’re no longer together.

“Their friends hope they can work this out as they make such a great couple but Sydney has made it clear she needs space.”

She started dating Jonathan in 2018 and he proposed four years later.

Sydney, soon to star in a Barbarella remake, had referred to him as her “best friend” — but last year was forced to deny she had grown close to Top Gun: Maverick actor Glen Powell.

She said: “That’s obviously not true. Me and my fiancé produced the movie together, and he was there the entire shoot.”

“And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams, and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
