JOY Behar has sparked concern after suddenly taking a day off from hosting The View.

Fans were left shocked after the 81-year-old, who normally only has off on Mondays, was missing from Thursday’s broadcast.Joy Behar was absent from The View on Thursday

On Thursday, The View hosts walked out on to the set to Jennifer Lopez’s hit, Jenny from the Block, as the singer was scheduled to appear later in the show.

Noticeably absent from the line-up of hosts, though, was Joy.

Fans are used to the comedian being out on Mondays, and Whoopi Goldberg being out on Fridays.

When a host is out on an unscheduled day off, the moderator usually mentions and explains their absence, but Whoopi did not do so on Thursday.

While Joy was missing without warning or explanation, Ana Navarro filled in at the table.

The 52-year-old normally appears on The View on Mondays and Fridays, but will also sometimes join for special episodes and when co-hosts are sick or on vacation.

“Ana’s there today,” one surprised fan simply wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Of course Ana is here today,” a second viewer wrote.

“Where’s Joy,” another asked, along with a frowning emoji.

“I just tuned in, where’s Joy,” a fourth concerned fan tweeted. “Is she ok?”

“So this is why Ana is in the house. Jennifer Lopez is at the table today,” one fan suggested.

Joy’s absence comes as fans have been wondering if she plans to retire from the talk show soon.

The co-host began on the panel when the show started in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she returned a few years later and has been part of the cast ever since.

The New York native currently has a contract with ABC until 2025.

Joy recently opened up to The View executive producer Brian Teta on the show’s Behind The Table Podcast about her latest career aspirations outside of the daytime program.

The 81-year-old TV star made it clear that you’re never too old to start something new.

“People should understand that here I am at this age [81], and I’m now flourishing as a playwright. As a writer…you can start anytime you want,” Joy encouraged.
