GENERAL Hospital star Josh Kelly has given viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how a pivotal scene from Thursday’s episode came together.

In the Instagram video, which is set to Bonnie Tyler’s iconic song Holding Out for a Hero, the crew of the soap opera was gathered around a massive pool.

In another shot, Josh — who joined the daytime television show as Cody Bell in 2022 — dove onto a mat in front of a blue screen.

The shot then cuts to Josh grabbing child actor Gary Fuller in what appears to be an intense scene.

“@justjokingjk will always be our hero,” the show’s official Instagram wrote in the caption.

Many fans of the show commented on the post expressing their love for the actor.

“I’m def a Cody stan,” wrote one fan.

“Love that u guys show behind the scenes,” a second fan gushed.

“Just LOVE this show so much have for decades.”

“GH is amazing!!! Writing, Directing and acting are phenomenal,” praised a third fan.

“Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to entertain us.”

Like most of the commenters, a fourth person praised the long-running show adding that they thought Gary was “a great little actor.”

Despite the general outpouring of love in the video comments, some fans claimed that General Hospital has become “boring.”

It has also gotten to the point where many viewers have been pleading with the show to bring back Jacqueline Grace Lopez.

Jacqueline, who reportedly filmed her last episode with the daytime drama this week after two years, was fired.

In the show, Jacqueline’s character Blaze, AKA Allie, was written off the show by saying she was leaving to open for a singer on tour.

Blaze was given the hook after she broke up with her girlfriend, Kristina, played by Kate Mansi.

“The writers have to get it together,” said one fan after they explained she was fired.

“Don’t like the Drew and Willow storyline, the usual, older man, younger woman scenario. Boring,” a second person proclaimed.

“Another snooze fest,” added a third.

“Just hurry up and end the Jagger story, it’s another stupid story that was just a waste of time,” seethed a fourth viewer.

Shortly before her departure, Jacqueline revealed that she felt blindsided by the firing.

Not gonna lie, this goodbye hurts. I think because I didn’t see it coming. That and when you spend almost two years with this group, you start to feel like part of the fabric,” Jacqueline said.

“I’m so grateful to Frank for asking me back. I am grateful to everyone I got to tell stories with, both in front and behind the camera. This cast and crew work so hard and have taught me so much. Jobs come and go, but it’s the people you miss. I’m definitely going to miss this bunch.”
