The stunning 27-year-old actress called off her wedding to fiance Jonathan Davino.
She has since been embroiled in reignited romance rumors with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell.
can now exclusively reveal that the pair have a “very close relationship,” with their relationship status officially unveiled.
A source told “I’d say friends – very close relationship and bonded over their work together on the film.
“Same sense of humor and both get on well. SNL showed how well they get on.”
The insider added, “Could be romance one day but ultimately they are just close friends at moment.
“He has been a great support.”
The American actress was due to marry 41-year-old businessman Jonathan this spring but “major issues” got in the way, sources say.
“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” an insider told Us Weekly last month.
The souce added, “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet.

Discussing the couple’s issues, the insider revealed a lot of their relationship problems stem from Sydney being “extremely busy with work commitments.”
SYDNEY AND GLEN’S SIZZLING CHEMISTRY
Since Sydney and Glen starred alongside one another in the romantic-comedy movie Anyone But You, they have been at the center of romance speculation despite Sydney having been in a relationship.
The pair always denied being more than friends.
Glen previously said of their chemistry, “Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry…
“And sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit.”
But despite them being just pals, they were spotted together in Dallas, Texas, as news emerged of Sydney’s broken engagement.
Sydney is reportedly close to the whole Powell family.
The star of The Handmaid’s Tale was even seen at Glen’s sister Leslie Powell’s wedding this weekend as she tied the knot.
It is claimed that any interactions she had with Glen on the day, and at the rehearsal dinner the night before, platonic and scandal-free.
In March 2024, Sydney hosted Saturday Night Live and addressed any speculation that she and Glen were more than just friends and co-stars.
“That’s obviously not true,” she said, in reference to their rumored on-set affair.
“Me and my fiancé produced the movie together, he was there the entire shoot.
“I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams, and we’re still together, and stronger than ever.”
