‘The Price is Right’ Fans Slam Alexis Gaube for ‘Fake’ Behavior in ‘Tricky’ Guessing Round, Calling Her the ‘Worst’
PRICE is Right model Alexis Gaube has been slammed for acting a specific way after viewers were shocked by the price of an item.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Price is Right, host Drew Carey, 66, was seen alongside contestant Lorena as the two played the show’s Hole in One game.
Ranking grocery items from least to most expensive, Lorena put erasable marker pens in the middle of the bunch.
She placed organic waffles, a multi-purpose cleaner bottle, and Sriracha mayo ahead of the pens, followed by a bag of trail mix and asthma relief spray afterward.
However, when it was time to reveal the amount of the writing utensils, everyone on screen appeared shocked when they were revealed to have a price of $25.20.
“$25? What?” Drew questioned, seemingly at a loss for words before revealing the price of the next item.
“I don’t think it’s gonna be more than 25 bucks,” he joked before uncovering the cost of a trail mix bag.
Alexis, who unveiled the pens’ price, gave an “O” expression and looked stunned as she peered down at the board to double-check the amount.
The TV personality acted unaware of the high dollar amount as the contestant turned away with wide eyes, realizing she had lost the game.
DOING TOO MUCH?
A screenshot of Alexis’ reaction to the $25 price point was shared on Reddit, where some viewers slammed the model’s expression as coming across as insincere.
“She’s just the worst. Not trying to be mean but I really dislike her. All the others are wonderful, she’s just way too fake with those facial reactions – like chill,” one person wrote.

Others noted how “tricky” the Hole in One segment was, with some even initially believing the pens were the cheapest item.
Alexis, who previously appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, joined The Price is Right in 2021.
Drew signed on to host the game show in 2007, succeeding longtime host Bob Barker.
The Price is Right Hosts

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)
Drew Carey – October 2007 to present
Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version
Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special
JABBING AT DREW
Drew, who has had a major weight loss transformation, has had plenty of memorable moments on the show’s set throughout the years.
Most recently, he was slammed by one contestant for being a game show host in a playful moment on Tuesday.
A third-year PhD student, Lillian, was selected to play a game where she had to guess whether the correct prices of items were higher or lower than what was shown.
She flew through the game with ease, which Drew credited to her education.
“We might as well not even keep going but … OK, OK. You have a PHd,” the host said.
“I was thrown out of college twice. What’s the opposite of a PhD?” he then asked.
“A talk show host,” Lillian jabbed back.
Drew almost fell over while laughing, adding, “You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host.”
