EXCLUSIVE: Love Island star reveals ‘cheap card’ being played on ‘isolated’ Toni

She was the first bombshell of Love Island 2025

One thing we’ve noticed about this year’s Love Island is that there seems to be a bit of a divide between the girls. Meg Moore, Helena Ford and Emily Moran are all on one side, while Toni Laites, Shakira Khan and Yasmin Pettet are on the other.

The girls have butted heads a few times, with Emily and Toni – who both have history with Conor Phillips – famously clashing after the American bombshell admitted she couldn’t be around ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ Emily, while she’s also clashed with Helena over current flame, Harrison Solomon.

Viewers are divided, with some firmly in Meg, Helena and Emily’s camp, while others are team Toni, Shakira and Yasmin. And one person who seems to be on the latter is winter Love Island 2023 star Jessie Wynter.

Speaking exclusively to heat at Snapchat’s Bingo Night earlier this week, Jessie spoke out about Toni being ‘isolated’ in the villa and compared it to her time on the show.

The winter 2023 bombshell, who originally rose to fame on the second series of Love Island Australia, told us, ‘I definitely felt really excluded in the villa and that’s why I really like Toni, because I think, especially being international, people always be like, “Oh, you’re from abroad, you’ll never last,” as an excuse.

‘I can’t remember who, but someone did say to Toni, “Ah, well, that will never work, because she’s American.” People use it as a cheap card and I kinda resonate [with that].’

Jessie, who is still in a relationship with Will Youngcontinued, ‘I think there’s always a divide on Love Island and this year I can really see the divide.’

But although it doesn’t look like the girls are on the best of terms in the villa, recently dumped Islander Megan Forte Clarke has insisted there’s no divide.

‘When I was watching the last couple of episodes back, I was so surprised to see this divide because when you’re in there, naturally you’ve got closer friends that you go to or whatever and have a chat, but we all spend a lot of time together as well, so I was like, “the divide is so dramatic”,’ she told Closer online.

‘But in there it’s literally grand. Everyone gets on, everyone’s wearing each other’s stuff, everyone’s doing each other’s hair. Everybody gets on.’
