“That’s Why He’s A Brooke Net”- Lakers Fans Furious As Referees Ignore Clear Push On Luka Doncic From Behind
“That’s Why He’s A Brooke Net”- Lakers Fans Furious As Referees Ignore Clear Push On Luka Doncic From Behind

The Los Angeles Lakers faced a tough challenge on Monday as they began a stretch without LeBron James. While Luka Doncic was at the helm, nothing much changed regarding the team’s falling flat.
LeBron is expected to be sidelined for at least one to two weeks due to a strained groin, and in such a crucial time, Doncic will have to play a dual role. However, the Brooklyn Nets seemed to have an altogether different plan for the young Slovenian.
During the second quarter’s play, Doncic made an unsuccessful attempt to guard Ziaire Williams while he was making a play and passed the ball. Despite a good offensive play on the paint, Nets’ Nic Claxton was not at all happy with Luka. As the cameras caught him, Claxton put a hard shove on Doncic, leaving him flabbergasted.
While there has to be an official whistle on the physical play, nothing at all happened. However, the social media fans caught wind and went above and beyond to blast the Nets. The actual reason for the shove is still unknown, but it seems like Luka’s first-quarter insane pass to rookie Dalton Knecht might be the reason.

As he is the new favorite of the LA fans, Doncic had his fans standing for him for poor officiating during the game.
“So unprofessional but I mean that’s why he’s a brooke Net,” a fan commented.
“That looks like targeting,” another fan commented.
“@NBA when will you start holding refs accountable for manipulating outcomes of the games. Disgusting officiating,” another agitated fan wrote.
“JJ gonna call that out…no one had Luka’s back,” another comment read.
“That’s such a coward move to push a man behind his back smh,” another comment read.
In addition to James, the Lakers were also missing Dorian Finney-Smith and Rui Hachimura, further complicating their situation. However, the upcoming schedule poses significant challenges for the Lakers as well. They have crucial games against strong teams like Milwaukee, Denver, and Phoenix within the next few weeks.
