LeBron James Eases Injury Concerns After Exiting Celtics Game With Groin Strain, Giving Fans A Sigh Of Relief

The Lakers traveled to Boston’s TD Garden in an attempt to win nine straight games in the most recent installment of the NBA’s most enduring rivalry. Fans anticipated a fierce matchup because the two teams are tied for second place in the East, and they got just that. However, superstar LeBron James exited the game early due to a groin strain, sparking concern among fans.
After leaving the Los Angeles Lakers’ 111-101 defeat to the Boston Celtics because of a strained groin, LeBron James has allayed concerns about his health. James said it wasn’t that bad when asked if he was concerned about the injury after the game.
James clarified, “Not much concern. Obviously, we’re gonna [take it] day-to-day. Look at it each day and see if gets better, and then take the proper measures and see what we need to do going forward. The first thing that popped in my mind was Christmas Day my first year with the Lakers. I’ve been here before, and I know what type of injury you’re dealing with.”
Before leaving the game, James disclosed that he had hurt himself on his final basket. The 40-year-old knew something was up as he landed after scoring with a spin move on Jaylen Brown. James disclosed that as he sat on the bench in February, he also considered his old teammate Anthony Davis suffering from an adductor injury.
LeBron James Might Want To Return Soon As Race To Playoff Intensifies
When James was compelled to leave, he was in the middle of yet another spectacular excursion. With his 22 points (11-23 FG), 14 rebounds, and nine assists against the Celtics, it appeared as though he may pull off a spectacular comeback victory.
Even after he left, the Lakers fought valiantly. But they were obviously unable to mount a comeback and lost by double digits. After losing, the Lakers fell to 40-22 this season, ending their eight-game winning run.

Before this game, the Lakers were the front-runners to finish second in the Western Conference, but that is now in question. In James’ absence, they must figure out how to survive, and Luka Doncic must do that. Of course, Doncic is also more than capable of doing that.
However, James stated unequivocally that he believes this injury is not as bad as the one he sustained against the Warriors in 2018. For the Lakers, it is fantastic news. The Lakers’ next game is scheduled for Monday at 7:30 PM ET at Barclays Center against the Brooklyn Nets.
