Is Zion Williamson Playing Tonight Against The Los Angeles Clippers? Latest Injury Update On Pelicans Superstar

The New Orleans Pelicans will host the Los Angeles Clippers at Smoothie King Center for a crucial NBA matchup. While the Pelicans are striving to break a four-game losing streak, fans are curious about Zion Williamson’s status for the game.
Williamson is off the Pelicans‘ injury report and will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Clippers. After sitting out during Sunday’s game against Memphis, he is set to return to the court.
This season, Williamson has participated in both back-to-back games only once, and the team is expected to continue managing his playing time. He has performed impressively in his last five games, averaging 25.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks in approximately 29.2 minutes per game.
The Clippers enter the game as 6-point favorites, riding on a season marked by a strong offense led by James Harden, who averages 22.2 points and 8.6 assists per game. The squad’s defensive capabilities are equally impressive, allowing just 108.7 points per contest, ranking fourth in the league. And Williamson’s availability will boost the team’s morale for the game.

During an appearance on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption, Chuck made it clear that he felt it was unfair to juxtapose Zion’s talent.
“It’s not fair to compare him to me. He’s not nearly as good as I was in my heyday. He’s really talented (but) he hasn’t even played in an official NBA game yet. And Dominque is in the Hall of Fame also. But, listen, I love the kid; I wish him nothing but the best, but it’s disrespectful to compare him to me already. I’m in the Hall of Fame,” Barkley said.
Despite recognizing Zion’s talent, Barkley stood firm in his belief that the young star had yet to prove himself on the grand stage of the NBA. At the time, Williamson had not even played a full season, which Barkley felt made the comparisons premature.
Barkley, a proud 11-time All-Star, believed that the greatness of past players should not be diluted by haste in recognizing new talent.
Interestingly, while Barkley acknowledged Zion’s impressive physical attributes, he also voiced concerns over his discipline and ability to harness his gifts. Over time, as injuries hampered Williamson’s progress, Barkley’s criticism became sharper.
