Could Kevin Durant Reunite With Kyrie Irving In Dallas Mavericks? Breaking Down The Mavericks’ Potential Big Three With Anthony Davis

The Phoenix Suns have struggled this season, and with their playoff hopes dwindling, Kevin Durant’s future with the team remains in doubt. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Durant is expected to be traded this summer. One possibility? The Dallas Mavericks.
If Durant joins Dallas, it would mark a reunion with his former teammate from their time with the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks have already made bold moves by trading away Luka Doncic and bringing in Anthony Davis. NBA insider Tim MacMahon emphasized the urgency for the Mavericks to capitalize on their championship window.
“By Nico Harrison’s own words, when they made this [Luka Dončić] trade, they put themselves in position to have a 3-4 year time frame. You’ve got to do everything. The only way you can possibly justify this trade is to win a title in those 3-4 years. So, you’ve got to do everything possible,” MacMahon said.
The idea of Durant and Irving reuniting in Dallas gained attention recently when NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson reported that the two stars still have a mutual interest in playing together again.
“As for Dallas, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant do eventually want to be teammates again,” Robinson wrote.
If Durant does join the Mavericks, it could be the move that helps erase the criticism they have faced since the Doncic trade. With Irving, Davis, and Durant, three veterans with championship experience, the Mavericks could assemble a formidable trio with one last shot at a title.

Kevin Durant Praises Nikola Jokic After Historic 30-20-20 Performance

In the Denver Nuggets’ 149-141 victory over the Phoenix Suns, Jokic delivered an unprecedented performance, becoming the first player in NBA history to record at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists in a single game. His dominance left even the Suns’ star, Kevin Durant, in awe.
“The whole offense is centered around him making a play. I’m actually kind of surprised he hasn’t done this before. All-time great, man. All-time great. He gets the ball every play, so the numbers are gonna pile up,” Durant said.
Despite the loss, Durant put up a strong performance of his own, finishing with 29 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. However, his effort wasn’t enough to overcome Denver’s offensive onslaught.
